From a contestable powderpuff game to ponchos in the rain, homecoming proved to be a memorable week once again.
Homecoming King & Queen
Century’s homecoming, September 18-22, started off with the powderpuff football game and coronation. Dawson Schon and Emersyn Hoechst were crowned king and queen along with Oliver Jensen, Hailey Sandwick, James Lee, and Erika Lee being elected in their court on Monday evening.
“I feel extremely honored and grateful,” Hoechst said.
Also on the court is Michael Twardowski, Aubree Wood, Eden Fridley, and Kyler Palczewski.
The powderpuff game finished with the junior team taking the victory over the seniors, which many found controversial. “I think we could have communicated better,” senior quarterback Izzy Ersland said.
“It was a little debatable, with the juniors tying their flags, but those could just be rumors.” Ersland believes the powderpuff game “brings a lot of people together, supporting these girls.”

Dress-up days consisted of the following themes: Gym Class Hero, What you want to be in 10 years, Barbie and Ken, Generational, and Patriot Pride.
“My favorite theme is 10 years. I felt it gave me the most creative room to express myself,” senior Aubree Wood said.
The multitude of pink down every hallway proved that Barbie/Ken day had the biggest turnout. To see some student outfits, check out the Century Student Council Instagram.
The pep rally included the homecoming court and other students participating in the games. The Century Centahnas and cheerleaders both preformed a routine. The cheerleaders danced with a teacher of their choice, and the Mentahnas gave a controversial performance to follow.
“Even though it could be seen as provocative, nobody should take it seriously; it's all fun and games,” Ben LaDuke said, a senior Mentahnas dancer.

Unfortunately, Century lost the Friday homecoming game against the Fargo Shanley Deacons with the final score of 48-35. Despite the persistent rain, the stands were filled and proved a successful student turnout.
