High schoolers opinion on Olivia Rodrigo's sophomore album

Starting off in the spotlight as a childhood Disney star, 20-year-old Olivia Rodrigo's musical breakthrough was with her January 2021 release of “Drivers License." She released a few more singles, and her debut album, Sour, followed shortly after.
Her long-awaited second album, consisting of 12 tracks, started streaming on September 8. The first single for this album, “Vampire,” was released June 30. Its contents are heartbreaking and agonizing, and the singer told Seventeen Magazine, “The song is more about my personal journey with past decisions.”

Sophomore Lainey Murray thinks that GUTS has “more variety” than her first album and “showed growth” through her lyrics.
The second and third singles of the album are “Bad Idea Right?” and “Get Him Back!”
Five days after the album release, Rodrigo announced the GUTS World Tour. It is a 57 show tour with more dates to come. The shows currently span from February 23 to August 14, 2024.
Saint Marys sophomore Lola Huber said, “She really developed a sense of music style that fits her personality and voice.”
Thirteen century students responded to a poll about Rodrigo’s work. The most favored song is “The Grudge,” followed by “Making the Bed.” Over half of the surveyed students think that Rodrigo's first album Sour is still better than GUTS.
Elizabeth LaDuke is a sophomore, and this is her second year on the Century Star. She is prepared to expand her journalistic skills and continue learning her role as an editor. “As a new leader...
