Concepts in Action: Planning, Teaching and Assessing for Conceptual Understanding and Inquiry

This EARCOS Weekend Workshop is hosted by Bandung Independent School and facilitated by Tania Lattanzio of Innovative Global Education.

This interactive online workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to understand the role of conceptual inquiry. It will examine what concepts are and look at how to plan for conceptual inquiry so that concepts become the language and focus of the learning. We will examine how we can embed agency into our conceptual teaching and learning through developing units that are broad in their context to allow for student interest and how we can give students more choice and options in their learning. Concepts will be put into action through providing participants with examples, strategies and formats that they can use and apply in their own situation. Ensuring that all feel more confident when planning, teaching and assessing concepts.
