Welcome to 5th grade
Let me introduce myself! I am Ms. McMichael, and this will be my second year teaching 5th grade Science. Science is my absolute favorite subject that I get to teach. I have taught for the last 10 years here at Mound Elementary. In that time I have been in 3rd, 4th and now 5th grade. Before that, I was an educational interpreter for the Deaf.
I have two daughters, and four fur babies. Daphne is 19, she goes to school at Hill College, and she works at Bahama Bucks! Natalie is 15 and she is a sophomore at Burleson High School (GO ELKS!). I have three dogs and one cat. Boy, do they make my house very HAIRY!!!
This is going to be a great year filled with challenges and lots of successes! We will set personal, class, and campus wide goals. Be thinking about what you want to be when you grow up, because we will be talking about that the first couple of days of school. Also, think about where you might like to go to college! We will have a project the first week of school to go along with that...don't worry, it will be fun!!! You will quickly see that I love to laugh, and have fun. We can do that as we learn. I can not wait to start this adventure with you all.
READY...SET...HERE WE GO!
