"I believe that images trigger the artist brain."

We serve about 600 students on our campus. Our goal is to... inspire creativity... look at our world through different lenses.... find out about our world and the people that live in it.... collaborate with others... learn and use many different tools.... and bring a joy to learning on our journey.

We will have fun learning many new technologies as well as creating videos, and taking photographs during the year! We learn new tech tools and much about our communication skills both oral and digitally. Stay tuned for announcements, projects, schedules, calendar of events, and deadlines posted here.

My goal is to take every student one step further in the 4 C's- collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity!

The technology applications curriculum has four strands: foundations, information acquisition, work in solving problems, and communication.

Through the study of technology applications foundations, including technology-related terms, concepts, and data input strategies, students learn to make informed decisions about technologies and their applications. The efficient acquisition of information includes the identification of task requirements; the plan for using search strategies; and the use of technology to access, analyze, and evaluate the acquired information. By using technology as a tool that supports the work of individuals and groups in solving problems, students will select the technology appropriate for the task, synthesize knowledge, create a solution, and evaluate the results. Students communicate information in different formats and to diverse audiences. A variety of technologies will be used. Students will analyze and evaluate the results.

Art topics will be studied by all grade levels during the year. The following link is the results of our research and studies. Upper grade level students have created their own websites about their journey and have included AV Artist information. AV ARTIST

All students participate in daily announcements for our school. We create our recordings in the Green Room. Every student at least once helps in the morning Pledges, Mission Statement, Moment of Silence, and Announcements. The M & M Club are regulars on the announcements. Art of all kinds will be shared here during the year too. Students are invited to present at BISD IGNITE in the Fall and we will be adding a KAAB Film Festival in late Spring.
