Clubs and Organizations

Burleson High School offers students a wide variety of clubs and organizations in which to participate. All students are encouraged to get involved.

Burleson High School Cheer Squad Members of BHS that support the Elks by cheering, chanting, dancing, tumbling, and encouraging support of our school teams and community.

Burleson High School Thespian Society The Texas Thespians Chapter is an affiliate of the International Thespian Society, an educational theatre honor society. As such, we follow the national model for promoting excellence in middle school and high school theatre departments across Texas.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America FCCLA is a national Career and Technical Student Organization that provides personal growth, leadership development, and career preparation opportunities for students in Family and Consumer Sciences education.

Gay Straight Alliance This club is a group of students who fall into two groups: students who reside on the LGBTQ spectrum and students who support them. This group provides a safe place for students to talk about their feelings and to provide non-judgmental support and love for each other. They meet every other Wednesday after school in room 156.

Key Club Key Club is a student-led, high school organization. Our members make the world a better place through service. In doing so, we grow as individuals and as leaders by answering the call to lead, summoning the courage to engage and developing the heart to serve.

National Art Honor Society

National Honor Society The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.

TAFE The Texas Association of Future Educators is a statewide organization created to allow students an opportunity to explore the teaching profession. We promote character, service, leadership skills, and where everyone gets a chance to shine!
