The mission of the Take Home Device Initiative in the Bainbridge Island School District is to create a collaborative learning environment for all learners and increase access to learning resources. This environment will support students and teachers in the use of technology to enhance student learning and engagement in the classroom. It will create equity and level the playing field for all learners by providing every student with a device to use both in school and at home.

This device will allow unfiltered access via the district network to educational resources and materials needed for students to be unsuccessful in school. It will also allow all student access to G Suite for Education, online textbooks, educational web-based tools, and many other useful websites.
