I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year!  I wanted to introduce myself and let you know a little bit about me. This is the start of my 20th year of teaching at x̌alilc (Halilts) Elementary School. I received my professional certification in 2008 and a master's degree in teaching from the University of Washington in 2005. I have an undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of Washington as well. I grew up on Bainbridge Island and attended x̌alilc (Halilts) in 3rd Grade. I have always loved being a x̌alilc (Halilts) Whale! I have a husband, Andrew, a son named Alexander, who is 9 years old, and a daughter named Clara who is 2. I love to spend my time hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, camping, and fishing. I look forward to a wonderful year working with you and your child!
