I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! I wanted to introduce myself and let you know a little bit about me. This is the start of my seventeenth year of teaching at Wilkes Elementary School. I received my professional certification in 2008 and a master's degree in teaching from the University of Washington in 2005. I have an undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of Washington as well. I grew up on Bainbridge Island and attended Wilkes in 3rd Grade. I have always loved being a Wilkes Whale! I have a husband, Andrew, a little boy named Alexander, who is seven years old, and last year I had a daughter named Clara who is currently 7 months old. I love to spend my time hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, camping, and fishing. I look forward to a wonderful year working with you and your child!
