BISD Summer Golf Camp Weather Update
Parents, BISD Summer Golf Camp is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, June 9.
The forecast shows mostly cloudy conditions at the start of camp, becoming partly cloudy later in the morning. Temperatures are expected to rise from approximately 81°F at 7:00 AM to 88°F by 11:00 AM. Rain chances remain very low during camp hours.
Due to the recent rain, the ground may also be saturated in some areas.
Please make sure participants bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat, and bug spray. It will be warm and humid, so participants should arrive prepared for the weather.

Registration note
Registration will be completed on site. Please have the student’s school name and ID number ready at check-in.

Open to all BISD elementary, middle, and high school students

Note: Some elementary students have expressed interest in staying longer.
They are welcome to do so with prior parent/guardian approval and must be cleared with staff.
What to Bring:
Cap, Sunscreen, Water Bottle, Bug Spray
A month long event filled with learning the fundamentals of playing golf. Each day brings a variety of games dealing with putting and chipping. Groups will head out to the course for real on course play time. Golf clubs are available, if needed. Breakfast and Lunch are included.
Additional Junior Golf Opportunity
Players who would like to continue building their skills and gain tournament experience are encouraged to learn more about the RGV Junior Golf Association.
The RGV Junior Golf Association is an independent organization and is not affiliated with Brownsville ISD. It provides low-cost tournament golf opportunities for youth ages 6–18 throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Participants should already understand the basic fundamentals of golf before entering a tournament.
