English proficiency test

The English Proficiency Test consists of multiple-choice questions in three categories: Grammar, Use of English, and Reading. For the Junior League, questions correspond with levels A2 and B1 of the CEFR, whereas for the Senior League the questions correspond with levels B2 and upwards. Participants may refer to the internationally recognized examinations KET, PET (Junior League), FCE, and IELTS (Senior League) conducted by Cambridge University for sample tasks. The duration of the test is 1 hour (excluding the substitutions process).


Procedure:

  • The test will be conducted in classrooms with 15 seats. 15 teams will be participating, with members substituting each other to be inside the classroom.

  • Every team member will be given 20 minutes to do the test.

  • Substitutions will be made every 20 minutes. Substitutions have to be made simultaneously.

  • Time will be paused during substitutions.

  • Test materials (question papers and answer sheets) are NOT allowed to be photographed or taken away during and after the test.
