The Biddeford Regional Center of Technology (BRCOT) offers career and technical education for students from our local high schools. BRCOT provides education and training that will support and guide students on their career paths, whether they are planning on continuing their education or directly entering the workforce following graduation. Students learn occupational skills developed from industry standards, earn industry certifications that will bring employment opportunities and earn college credits, as many of the programs have credit bearing agreements with Maine colleges. There are different types of these agreements, known as dual or concurrent enrollment, articulation, and advanced standing agreements. Their availability is noted in each program’s description

All students who would like to enroll in a BRCOT career and technical program must complete a BRCOT online application for consideration. Acceptance is a shared decision between the BHS Guidance and the Center of Technology. Attending a COT program gives you a competitive edge to advance quickly in college or the workforce. Internships, job shadows, and other forms of extended learning opportunities are available to earn credit as well as valuable experience. Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to visit the BRCOT programs they are interested in to make an informed decision. For more information go to the BRCOT office or see your School Guidance Counselor.
