Jonette Burns

Jonette earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education with a computer endorsement from Chadron State College in 1998 and her Master’s Degree in Technology for Education and Training from the University of South Dakota in 2007.  Jonette began her teaching career in 1998 at Belle Fourche High School.  Having no family close to Belle, she and her husband planned to stay for a couple years until they decided where they wanted to begin raising a family.  They decided to stay in Belle where Jonette continues to teach at the high school and is beginning her 23rd year.  She has taught numerous math and computer courses and is Junior Class Advisor as well as Math and Science Club Advisor.  She has taught math and computer courses for the past seven years for BHOLC and enjoys working with students and their families.

Jonette and her husband have three boys.  Dylan is a junior and attends Columbia University in New York City where he is majoring in Environmental Law.  Her twins, Devin and Dagan, are juniors in high school and are very active in clubs and sports. In her free time, Jonette enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.
