Ms. Gabel - Bio

This is my twentieth year at Tinley Park High School. I work in the English department and the school library. In the library, my colleague, Katie Udstuen and I, work with students and staff managing technology issues and assisting teachers with tech integration. In addition, we run a library program that encourages reading and supports research and responsible digital citizenship.

Before Tinley Park High School, I taught at Queen of Peace High School in Burbank. Before that I worked as a reporter and editor for two newspapers in the South, the Rome (Ga.) News-Tribune and the Chattanooga Times. My first full-time job out of college was as a copy editor for the American Library Association's Reference Books Bulletin.
