Classroom Rules
Electronics:
Cell phones and headphones/ear buds are not permitted as per BHPRSD policy. Personal cell phones are to be placed in the phone holder located in class. They are to remain there until the end of the period (not allowed to take it to the lavatory either). Failure to adhere to the district policy with cell phones and headphones/ear buds, will result in an immediate discipline referral.
Chromebooks are to be utilized for art instructional purposes only. Chromebooks are to be used appropriately. Netflix or YouTube videos, etc., that are not pertinent to our assignments will be permitted. GoGuardian will be utilized from my end which tracks and logs all Chromebook usage. Any bypassing of GoGuardian in any way will result in an AUP violation referral to your Vice Principal and an email home.
Personal devices such as Chromebooks, laptops, and/or tablets are not allowed to be used in class.
School policy of the above is being enforced until the bell rings, and no warnings shall be provided. Loss of classwork points, phone call/email home, and a detention/referral will be given.
2. Lateness to class will not be tolerated. Being on time for class is being in the door when the bell rings. If you come in late, you must have a pass. School policy of a teacher detention is enforced, and subsequent discipline will be followed up if lateness continues.
3. There is no food or drink allowed at the work desks. This means no food or drink!
4. Foul and/or abusive language will not be tolerated. Doing so will result in a disciplinary action and loss of daily classwork points.
5. You are to be in your seats during the entire duration of the period. Do not walk around the room to socialize or line up at the door before the bell rings. Lining up early will result in loss of classwork points for the day and possible detention if the issue is ongoing.
Classroom Expectations
1. Students will be polite, responsible, productive, and on task at all times.
2. The use of the lavatory and nurse is a privilege. No lavatory during the first 5 or last 5 minutes of the class.
- Write your name on the bathroom sign up as you enter class. Do not erase or cut in front of anyone else before it is your turn. If you do, you don’t get to go.
- You must have your ID around your neck to be permitted to go. NO ID PASS = NO BATHROOM.
- Create a Smart Pass at the Lavatory Kiosk by the door and be back within the time allotted by SmartPass.
- Cell phones must stay in the classroom.
- Only one student in the lavatory at a time. If someone is out at the lavatory, you must wait.
4. Discipline - Students will receive 1 reminder. The need for a second, or daily, request will result in a lunch detention or administrative referral and a telephone call home to your parent/guardian.
5. Work areas (including sink area) should be kept clean of debris and supplies and cleaned by brush with the dustpan and/or wiping them down with a damp paper towel. Wrappers and other debris left behind will result in a loss of classwork grade for the day.
Absences
If you are absent, it is your responsibility to find out what you missed. If you fail to do so, a zero will be assigned for any of the missing work.
Late Projects
Assignments are to be handed in on the day of the due date posted. If you fail to hand in your project on time, a point deduction will be assessed to your grade. As of 4th marking period, no assignments will be accepted late. I will not ask you to hand in any assignments beyond the due date. It is your responsibility to hand it in.

Classwork = 30 %
- Classwork is based on work during the period, work ethic, and behavior during the class.
Critiques, Quizzes, and Homework = 20 %
