Welcome to my classroom. I have been teaching at Highland for over twenty years and I am looking forward to another great year, helping students to refine their skills and to help students to discover their hidden talents. Here is some information about me:
I majored in painting and drawing at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) in Philadelphia before working on my B.F.A. at the University of Pennsylvania. After studying art history there, I furthered my study in this subject area at Tyler School of Art (Temple University), where I earned an M.A. in art history. My specialty is drawing and painting but I make artwork in varied media.
I am also a professional artist, displaying my work in Philadelphia art galleries. I began teaching Art here at Highland in 2004, after teaching art history part-time for a short period at Drexel University and Camden County College. I was also honored as Highland's Educator of the Year in 2017.
On a more personal note, I met my wife Jennifer in 1990 and we have been together since 1992. We were married in 2001 and have three wonderful children. We enjoy traveling around the country to visit national park sites to experience the beauty of our country with its diverse landscape.
