School Banking

School Banking is a program run by First New York FCU and our PTA. Your child(ren) needs to have an account with First New York, and then they can make deposits weekly during their lunch period. They will get weekly prizes for making deposits and bigger prizes for their 5th, 10th, and 15th deposits. Your child(ren) can also earn up to $40 a school year by showing their report card! The program continues in middle and high school, so your child(ren) can start learning to save now and continue right through until graduation and save for different things as they grow. Deposits are a minimum of $0.25 and a maximum of $10. There is also a passport program that your children can enter to win one of three cash prizes after their 15th deposit. School banking day is Thursday and we start on 9/28/23. The credit union also makes donations to our PTA for each new account opened. This really is a great program to get kids thinking about saving while earning cool prizes!
