Mrs. Worman
1st Grade Teacher
This will be my 7th year teaching! I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, PreK-4th Grade from Kutztown University. After graduating, I spent five years teaching early childhood education in PreK, Kindergarten, and Head Start. I was a Head Start Teacher in Lancaster working for the Community Action Partnership (CAP). After my time in Lancaster, I taught in the Boyertown Area School District, where I taught Kindergarten and 1st Grade. This is my sixth year at Brandywine Heights Elementary, and I am so excited for another awesome year! First Grade is the best grade because the students grow so much as learners!Â
I hold a master's degree in Instructional Technology from Kutztown University, and I love to utilize technology in the classroom to support student learning. I have participated in the University of Florida Literacy Institute Academy, where I spent a year working with UFLI phonics coaches to master the elements of our phonics program. I have two rescue dogs- Ranger and Stormi. Ranger is 7 and Stormi is 6. They love toys and treats...especially carrots!
