Overview of Survey Completion Data

Summary: The graphs below (figures 1 through 4) indicate that a total of 128 vendors completed the survey (one inadvertently completed it twice; the duplicate result was removed), an 87.7% completion rate. One vendor declined to complete the survey because the information being requested was felt to be excessively intrusive. Only 12.3% of users who began the survey did not complete it. The survey proved compatible with both mobile and desktop devices across a variety of internet browsers. Time for completion ranged from a median of 9 to 20 minutes, within advertised time periods.

The majority of providers work from one location (61.7%) while the rest (39.3% have more than one, broken down as follows:

  • 2 to 4 locations - 65.1%

  • 5 to 8 locations - 23.9%

  • 9 to 12 - locations - 11.0%

The average vendor has been in practice 20 years (Median=17 years; Mode=20 years).

Vendors reported serving a total of 26,805 consumers across Regional Center agencies (in some cases the same consumer is served by multiple vendors and a single vendor may provide multiple services under different codes to a single consumer). Forty-seven percent of vendors reported that their business exclusively serves regional center consumers (total 12,697) and forty-six percent of vendors' reported their business is made up of 50 to 99% of Regional Center-funded consumers (12,444).

Accuracy of Ratings: Number of Consumers Served

These estimates appeared accurate as vendors rated the accuracy of their ratings as follows. Just over 90% reported their estimates of the number of Regional Center consumers served was just over 91% and only about 2% felt their estimates lacked accuracy.

Vendors Providing Services

The majority of providers responding provided Community Integration Training Programs, Individual or Family Training, Supplemental Day Services Support, Adult Developmental Center, Independent Living Program, Adaptive Skills Trainer, Behavior Analyst, Behavior Management Assistant, Speech Pathology, Trans Additional Component, Supported Living Program, and Residential Facility-SO-Adult.
