Extinction Level Event

Is it hell? Is earth hell? The world is getting hotter by the minute, but no one seems to care. The forests catch fire. The ice caps melt. The ocean eats away at the coastlines. The earth begins to shift its gravitational center and the seas rush toward its tilt. But everyone is calm. This end was coming for us, anyway. Self-extinction was predestined. We go on, because what else is there to do? If there is no chance of escape, why try? So we slaughter the cattle and let the trees become ash. Live it up. We can always breed more. We are a self-hateful people. We choose our fate. We made our home into our graveyard and creatures of the future will burn our bones for fuel.
