Quizlet is an important studying tool that is popular with students across all classes. Now that the Quizlet company has removed many of the features from its free version, we propose that the school purchase the premium version for all students.
There are now major differences between the free version of Quizlet and Quizlet+:
QUIZLET+
Flashcards
Test
Match
Removes ads
Lets you study offline
Includes Quizlet Learn
Unlocks all flashcard sets
QUIZLET BASIC
Only Flashcards, Test, and Match

We conducted a survey research project comparing students' usage of Paper.co (the company we use for online tutoring and essay feedback) to their use of Quizlet.
The 345 respondents were far more likely to use Quizlet than Paper.co, demonstrating how a similar investment in Quizlet+ would be an effective tool for helping students study and succeed in content-heavy courses.
Trade-offs
This is an expensive proposal. We are not sure what kind of bulk rate the school could negotiate, but the advertised price is $48/year, which could be well over $50,000 to provide the tool to all students.
Benefits
Students would have access to a powerful studying tool that is already popular and well-known.
Quizlet+ unlocks the features that allow for students to check memorization and comprehension skills.
Better equity: all students would be able to take advantage of these advanced studying tools — not just those whose can afford to buy them on their own.
Purchasing Quizlet+ accounts for all students is a smart investment. Unlike Paper.co, Quizlet already has buy-in from the student body. Providing this tool to students will help students study, increase equity, and improve learning outcomes.
