Monthly Virtues (for OC and S of M)
Listed are the Roman Virtues that we will focus on each month at Opening Ceremonies.
These virtues will also be considered as we select our Student of the Month each month.
August: Salubritas (healthiness and wholesomeness)- Healthy body
September: Prudentia (foresight, prudence, wise choice-making)- Healthy mind
responsibility, and earnestness.
October: Veritas (Truthfulness)- Honesty in dealing with others.
November: Firmitas (Tenacity)- Strength of mind, the ability to stick to one's purpose.
December: Liberalitas (Liberality)- Generous giving.
January: Comitas (Humor)- Ease of manner, courtesy, openness, and friendliness.
February: Gravitas (Gravity)- A sense of the importance of the matter at hand,
March: Pietas (loyalty, Piety)- Your relationship to the institutions around you.
April: Auctoritas (Spiritual Authority)- The sense of one's social standing, built up through experience, prudence, and hard work.
May: Humanitas (Humanity)- Refinement, civilization, learning, and being cultured.
