Welcome to ORCHESTRA!!! Orchestra is a class offered as an extra curricular activity at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School for students in grades 4-6. Three different sessions are offered: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced.  This year, all classes will meet in the Music Room.

I'm interested, but which instrument should I play?

In Orchestra, you can choose which string instrument you think you would like to play! Most students choose instruments because of the way they look or sound, and what type of music they are interested in playing! (Check out my INSPIRATION tab in the menu for some ideas!) You may choose between the violin, the viola, the cello, or the  double bass.

If you aren't 100% SURE if Orchestra is for you, or you think it is but have NO IDEA which instrument to choose, here's a cool video for you to watch!!  Be thinking about the size of the instrument, and the sound each kind of instrument makes.  Which one is YOUR favorite?
