Hello and welcome! I'm Christina Hesse, and I’m proud to teach a range of engaging social studies courses at Bettendorf High School, including:
American Minorities
Human Geography
Psychology
Sociology
SOC110 (Dual Credit through EICC)
I’ve been teaching at Bettendorf since 2016 and am passionate about helping students explore the world around them through critical thinking, discussion, and real-world application.
🎓 My Background
B.A. in History Education – Western Illinois University (2016)
M.A. in Educational Studies – WIU (2020)
M.S. in Sociology – Arizona State University (2024)
I believe learning should be interactive, inclusive, and connected to students' lives and futures—whether they’re preparing for college, careers, or just becoming thoughtful global citizens.
👨👩👦 About Me
Outside the classroom, I’m a proud mom to two amazing sons, and I share life with my loving fiancé, three energetic dogs, and three quirky cats. Our house is always full of movement, love, and a little bit of chaos—the best kind!
