Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff, and Community Members:
In my newsletter last week, I thanked all of you for the feedback on our parent survey, which closed on May 5th. The district and schools use that feedback as a mechanism of continuous improvement. In fact, the schools pick growth areas within the parent survey results to set goals as part of their school improvement plans. Below is a summary (across all schools) of areas identified as strengths and areas for improvement:
In terms of school climate, academic expectations, communication, safety, and overall satisfaction with the schools, we have over 90% of our parent population rating these areas as agree or strongly agree.
The aggregate breakdown of our schools is as follows:
Climate- 92%
Academic Expectations- 91%
Communication- 92%
Safety- 92%
Overall satisfaction- 92%
We are very proud of this feedback and will continue to work toward providing a strong learning environment for all children.
In terms of areas for growth, we did receive feedback, particularly in the comment section, that communication and student behaviors (the ways students treat one another) are areas where we can grow. We will work with our school teams to use the feedback received and further brainstorm ways we can strengthen these areas.
We will continue to periodically survey parents, educators, and our students for feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to take the survey!
