What is #BHSreads?

As a part of Bethel High School's ongoing promotion of lifelong readers, students will be encouraged to select at least one title or alternate selection to read/watch over the summer to help them prepare to participate in discussions at the beginning of the new school year.

This year's theme is "#BHSreads2020: A Vision of Compassion."

Students are encouraged to read at least one selection from the options provided on the "Looking for Ideas?" pages over the summer.

Students should feel free to take notes on their selection(s) over the summer to help focus their attention on the theme of compassion in their selected work(s). Students and staff are also encouraged to use the tag #BHSreads2020 on social media (Twitter, etc.) to demonstrate their participation in our continuing community of readers.

Do you have questions about the #BHSreads program?

Please contact a member of the #BHSreads committee for more information: Ms. Troetti, Ms. Wismar, Ms. Taborsak, and Mr. Sarrazin.

Please note that students enrolled in honors and AP English courses for the 2020-21 school year will have additional and/or alternate required reading and associated assignments to complete.

Please see our webpage for Honors/AP Summer Reading for details and assignments.
