The Tri-M Music Honor Society® is a program of the National Association for Music Education(NAfME), which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy. Tri-M also provides students leadership opportunities to make a difference in their community through music-based service projects. The Chapter Advisor will assemble a panel of three music educators to evaluate applications. In order to be considered for Tri-M membership, each applicant must submit:

  1. The completed Tri-M Membership Application, indicating interest in membership and the names of three educators who can attest to applicant’s leadership and character.

  2. An audition, during which, the applicant performs the pieces indicated on his/her application form.

  3. For composers/ producers, students must be able to present two compositions, with both score (can be electronic) and an audio recording.

If the above items are complete, the application will be considered by the selection panel. The panel will apply the music dept standard performance rubric to the live audition and review the student application documents.
