The purpose of the Student Government shall be to preserve and promote the good name, traditions, and spirit of Bethel High School; to serve as a further educative device for learning and promoting the ideals of democratic government and good citizenship; to be realized by training good leaders as well as a thinking membership; to improve student-teacher relationships; and to provide for a forum for student expressions.

Student government is responsible for encouraging citizenship of all students at Bethel High School. Class Officers and executive board members organize events such as Spirit Week, Pep Rallies, Teacher Appreciation Week and act as leaders of both Bethel High School and the Connecticut Association of Student Councils.

Student Government meetings are held after school in Room 307 on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month, as well as during certain Activity Days during Advisory.
