There is no other sport like wrestling, so presumably there aren’t any athletes like wresters. We hold wrestlers at a higher standard than most. Wrestlers should be hard working at practice, in the classroom, and in life. A wrestler cannot be afraid of hard work. We do our best to make our wrestlers aware that they will work harder than they probably ever have in their lives but, in a fun intense atmosphere that can be enjoyed. If the wrestlers will commit to apply the training that is designed for them, they will progress as an athlete and as a person. Coach Neil Turner said, “The objective goal is to win each bout, but true winning goes far beyond the short sighted point of view to the subjective, "Did I do as well as I possibly could have?". The latter concept deals with reaching your individual potential as an athlete. Until the wrestler performs up to his potential at the given point of development, he has not won.” (Coach Turner Mat-Town USA Club.)
Box Elder Wrestling has been and will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the Utah wrestling world. With over 100 individual State Champions and 8 Team state titles, the Box Elder Wrestling program has proven to be a tradition of excellence.
The past two seasons the BEES have placed in the top three, and are determined to improve each year.
