Good evening and welcome to the Ridge High School Spring Choral Concert. Thank you so much for being here and supporting this wonderful tradition. It is thrilling to think of all of the different people we have in the audience tonight…friends, family, teachers, community members, mentors, and students, all tuning in from different walks of life. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to be here!
First, I would like to thank Mr. Lubrano, our collaborative pianist. He is so much more than someone that simply plays piano beautifully. He team-teaches, leads sectionals and rehearsals, and truly cares about every student in the program. He is a mentor, inspiration, and friend to all.
Thank you, also, to the Ridge community - the Performing Arts Department that shares time, talent, and resources, the administration for their constant support, and the families and community for honoring and continuing the tradition of choral excellence in this town. A special thank you to those in Guys Nite Out and to our alumni, who continue to support from near and far.
Lastly, I want to thank the students. Their dedication is unending. They have learned very challenging repertoire, bonded with new people, upheld old traditions and made new ones. A special thank you to the choir officers and section leaders who do so much extra - making programs, flyers, and bulletin boards, decorating the classroom so that it is welcoming and inviting, helping to pick and organize music, leading sectionals and rehearsals, providing outreach opportunities, finding fun ways to make connections with one another, fundraising for the program, and so much more. Their positivity and passion is palpable and passes on to all of their classmates, creating a community of respect, kindness, creativity, and professionalism. Thank you to our seniors, those who have been here all four years, and those who floated in during their final year at Ridge. Your presence will be missed next year. Thank you for sharing your love of singing with those around you. May it always bring you joy throughout your life.
So please, sit back, unplug, and enjoy the gift that is having people together, working on a common goal, to bring beauty, peace, and music simply because we love it.
With appreciation, dedication, and love,
Mrs. Carol Beadle
