Educational Inequity is a topic that I am passionate about because of the great benefits that I am offered in my school system. While reading about the things that some schools lack, that I consider a fundamental of education, I have noticed just how fortunate I am to live in such a great school district. I have learned all about the public policy process and its complexity. For example, while making a public policy important things to consider include, who the policy benefits, who it will negatively impact, is this financially feasible, etc. This project has better prepared me to be an active citizen because it has evolved my skills to research a current issue, obtain a full understanding, and take action to fix it. Working in a group has taught me how to work as a team, and how to manage my time in order to succeed together. These skills that I have acquired will help me throughout the rest of my educational years, and into my professional career.
