Spoiler Alerts!!! A very popular show has just officially ended with some extreme controversy. Can you guess what it is? Stranger Things!
Stranger Things season 5 ended last year on December 31. There has been some major talk about the final season, with some people loving it and some people coming up with whole theories because they can't settle with the ending. The ending of Stranger Things felt like it had some loose ends that were not fully tied up. Even with all of this, most people who have watched this show end up loving it, so I will be taking you through people's hot takes, mild takes, and crazy theories.
I interviewed a variety of people, even including some teachers, to get a variety of opinions. Most people said that they enjoyed season three the most because of all of the crazy things that happened and the overall plot of the show thickening. No one said season five was their favorite because most people felt that there were so many alternate endings that could have been produced, but instead, the ending of the show felt like it was left on a cliffhanger, even though the show is confirmed to be over. Most people said that Steve was their favorite character because of his immaculate vibes and overall great personality (at least after season one). Many people said that Will’s coming out was badly written and felt awkward. Even Noah Schnapp (the actor of Will) has hinted that he felt that the scene was badly placed and written. Most people were disappointed that neither Mileven (Mike and Eleven) nor Byler (Mike and Will) happened at the end of season five.
Personally, I felt that Eleven’s death not being confirmed has upset a lot of fans, including myself. Though the ending of Stranger Things might not have been very popular throughout the fanbase, many of us grew up with it and will most likely miss the show in a few years if we don’t already miss it. I think everyone is already looking forward to the spin-offs of Stranger Things, and I can’t wait to see what the Duffers decide to do with it.
