Imagine sitting in your English classroom and the teacher recites a whole scene from “Titanic” by memory. This perfectly encapsulates Ms. Rudolph's fun personality.
Ms. Rudolph is a seventh grade English teacher. She started her passion for teaching while volunteering at Berkeley Academy during the summer before her senior year of high school. After Ms. Rudolph graduated from Berkeley, she decided to go to college at Tufts University in Boston. Ms. Rudolph originally went to college hoping to be a lawyer but she did not enjoy her classes. She decided to try out one Education class just to see how she felt and she ended up loving the class and the professor. After college, Ms. Rudolph went on to teach at a school in Boston for four years. While Ms. Rudolph was teaching in Boston, she heard about the open position to be a seventh grade English teacher. Ms. Rudolph jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the Berkeley community again, so she flew all the way down to Florida to interview with Ms. Boss. I think you can imagine what happened after that, she got the job!
Beyond teaching, Ms. Rudolph enjoys many cool hobbies including reading, yoga, workout classes, pickleball, and needle pointing(an activity where you take yarn with a needle and put it through a canvas material to create a photo). She loves Titanic, and has memorized every single scene of the movie! Ms. Rudolph’s favorite book is The Nightingale by Kristen Hannah. Ms. Rudolph said that if she could meet anyone past or present that it would be Mariska Hartigay, an American actress and producer. I asked Ms. Rudolph to describe herself in five words, these are the five words that she said: perfectionist, fashionable, caring, type-A, involved, and caring. Ms. Rudolph said that if she had to be one inanimate object that she would be shoes, one of her favorite things!
Ms. Rudolph is a very kind person and an amazing teacher. Ms. Rudolph is so excited to be back saying, “This is a special place,” which I think we can all agree with. If you ever see Ms. Rudolph in the hallway, say hi, she will always say hi back!
