I am an assistant professor in the Department of Philosophy and a member of the Logic Group at the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to Berkeley, I was a Bersoff Faculty Fellow from 2021-2023. You can view my CV here.
I work in formal epistemology (especially Bayesian epistemology), decision theory, and the philosophy of probability. Recently, I have also been exploring the logic and probability of conditionals. Additionally, I have a research interest in Chinese philosophy, particularly Neo-Confucianism.
I completed my Ph.D. at Princeton University in 2021, under the supervision of Adam Elga and Harvey Lederman. Before that I received a B.A in Philosophy and Mathematics from Wellesley College (2016).
My Chinese name is Xueyin (雪音), which means "the sound of snow".
