Here at Winko, our mission is to provide USB power, lighting and internet to the most rural regions in Africa at an affordable price while creating local jobs. Our team is working diligently to ensure the power of modern electricity is easily accessible to everyone, as it should be.
OUR EFFECT
By providing modern electricity to some of the most rural regions of Africa, Winko is striving to create more opportunities for individuals in both the Democratic Republic of the Congo and West Africa. In these two regi combined, over 250 million individuals are considered off-the-grid. By providing modern electricity, Winko will improve safety conditions, educational efforts, and economic stability for those that need it.

Co-Founder
Akonkwa is currently an MBA Candidate at University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, graduating in 2021. Today, Akonkwa is the CEO of Akotech.
