This conference is over. Thanks for joining us. See you next time!
Use this form to offer to convene a discussion as part of the conference. All conference participants are invited to convene a discussion on a topic of their choosing. You can see what topics have already been proposed here.
If you propose a topic, you don't need to have all of the answers or be an expert in the topic (presentations/lectures are discouraged!), but you do need to attend that discussion, and play the role of convener/facilitator.
Some examples of possible discussion topics you propose may include:
Particular “re-opening” problems and brainstorming how informal/formal partnerships might help overcome them
Examples of potential partnerships
Strategies for redeploying environmental educators to work in schools
Overcoming challenges in informal/formal partnerships
Ideas for addressing environmental justice issues, particularly those made more visible by the pandemic
Ideas for addressing equity issues related to online learning and digital divide
How organizations are dealing with financial losses and staff reductions
Discussion about high-quality aspects of online learning
Sharing curriculum planning and implementation tools (e.g., essential standards documents)
Sharing blended and/or flipped learning strategies
Focus groups with like organizations or like positions (e.g. Residential Environmental Learning Centers, School -Districts, Superintendents, Science & Environmental Literacy Specialists/TOSAs/Coordinators, CEOs)
Check-in space for practitioners and instructors
Discussion of field-wide advocacy efforts
Strategies for re-starting programming for learners
Self-care sharing session
Spaces for regional partner-building
Affinity spaces for folks with shared identities
Whatever would be of value to you to discuss!
