Humans often collaborate with AI systems to achieve goals and make decisions. But how does AI integrate in existing production and decision-making structures? And how does it affect economic outcomes? This workshop is a forum to discuss theoretical and empirical research on understanding human-AI collaborative systems, both at the individual and institutional levels.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
The Micro-Structure of Human-AI Collaboration: How do decisionmakers use AI predictions?
Designing AI for Complementarity: More broadly, what interaction formats allow increase effectiveness of the collaborative system? How can we design AI for greater human-AI complementarity?
AI Alignment: How can eliciting and aggregating preferences and values of users and building AI that is aligned with them?
Incentives and Augmentation: Which roles do incentives play in the collaboration of humans and AI?
