CMG is excited to have Veselina Dinova, Haas Lecturer & Distinguished Teaching Fellow, join us to share her experience working in the finance sector and provide guidance and suggestions for finance and accounting career paths. 

Bio: Veselina is faculty at Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley where she teaches finance, accounting, financial statement analysis and stock valuation focused courses with the graduate and executive MBA programs. Her mission is to educate the future corporate leaders on how to build and grow companies that make the world a better place for all their stakeholders. She has won numerous awards for teaching excellence.

Veselina has researched and analyzed the financial performance and corporate governance of publicly traded companies from a wide range of industries for her classes and for the private clients she consults. She is skilled at using the numbers and other disclosures to build the story about the business, uncover insights, identify strategic opportunities and flag existing or potential risks.

Veselina is an effective communicator and a consensus builder and especially enjoys working with and learning from her students with vastly diverse backgrounds, opinions and aspirations.

She is passionate about innovation and has mentored startups at SkyDeck, the premier accelerator at UC Berkeley.

Veselina cares deeply about sustainability and social impact and is proud to be part of a business school aiming to be the leader in this space where students and faculty research, brainstorm, advise and act on these topics on a daily basis.

Prior to becoming faculty at Haas, Veselina was in corporate treasury at multinational corporations. She obtained her MBA degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management. She is a CFA charter-holder and a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco. She is NACD Directorship certified.
