Part 1: Preparing Excedrin Sample

Tap the bottom of the tube gently on the lab bench to dislodge any powder near the top. Add 0.5 mL of EtOAc, using it to rinse down the sides of the centrifuge tube.

Place the tube over the magnetic stir plate and stir gently for 3-4 min.
