Since 1989, the Chevron Richmond Refinery has had a series of explosions and fires that have left surrounding communities with lasting health effects due to air pollution. These communities consist of a high population of people of color and low income communities. This site's purpose is to analyze the environmental justice issue surrounding the negative effects the Chevron Richmond Refinery has had on the environment and the community living in North Richmond as well as highlighting what actions have been taken to fight this injustice.
