Reaction apparatus

Assemble a gas trap using an inverted distillation head.

The entire apparatus assembled. Including long neck round bottom flask, inverted distallation head, and tubing going into an inverted test tube with cotton.

Zoomed in view of inverted distillation head open ends are sealed with rubber septa and tubing is going through one of these septa.

What type of cotton should be used in the gas trap?

Dry cotton.

Damp cotton.
