The Happiness Score is based on people’s self-reported life evaluations.
The World Happiness Report (WHR) explores 6 factors to better understand how people evaluate their lives.
Countries can have similar Happiness Scores for different reasons. Explore how factors vary across the Americas.
Happiness Score: Uses a 3-year rolling average to reduce year-to-year fluctuations from smaller samples and major short-term events (live Covid-19).
Covid-19: Covid-19 period data - 2020 to 2023, as defined by WHO - is included and may reflect pandemic-related impacts.
Missing Years: Some years of data are unavailable for Belize, Haiti, and Trinidad and Tobago due to incomplete survey coverage in the World Happiness Report dataset.
Venezuela: Some periods are missing GDP explanatory data for Venezuela. In these cases, GDP may appear as 0 in visualizations, but Happiness Scores are still available (without GDP as an explanatory factor).
Apply global multipliers to each factor to compare how strongly countries benefit.
What happens when we look at the real factors' values, not the regression values?
How has Happiness and the contributions of the 6 Factors evolved through time?
