Afghan Women Speak:

Voices from Within and Beyond

An Online Conference | March 9, 2023

9 am-12 pm PST [9:30-12:30 pm Kabul time/ 4:00-7:00 am Melbourne+1 day]

Dedicated to the women of Afghanistan, this conference aims to provide a space for Afghan women scholars, poets, activists, and analysts to share their experiences and insights in honor of International Women's Day.

The Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan in August 2021, and since then, women have been largely banished from public life. As those inside and outside the country grapple with this new reality and contemplate what the future may hold, we invite you to join us for a conversation with a group of Afghan women who will draw from their own writing, research, public service, and activism to reflect on the current state of affairs and consider what lies ahead.
