Hub for Young Minds
Hub for Young Minds
SOI is a BCA club and non-profit dedicated to making STEM more accessible and hands-on. We are offering young learners, especially those with fewer learning opportunities, both online and physical outlets to learn simplified advanced STEM topics that we learn. Young students will better understand them and be able to apply their knowledge to their schooling. Our courses are intended for middle and late elementary school students, but they are open to learners of all ages! More importantly, the resources we offer are all free of charge!
What do we do?
Create "Kilo Kits" (DIY experimental care packages)
Donating them to supplemental education programs (such as Kumon and Advanced Math Academy)
Kilo Kits include small, at-home experiments, related mini-lessons, and other goodies to contribute to a fun educational experience
Produce student-made, pre-recorded lectures and short-form content
Edited lectures posted on our YouTube channel
Watch the video to learn more about what we teach!
We're committed to reducing disparities in STEM education by turning what we learn in school into creative, easy-to-follow resources younger students can actually use and enjoy! By working on this initiative, we hope to bridge the gap that divides so many young students from gaining proficiency and confidence in STEM disciplines.
