How does ocean acidification affect the calcification, pigmentation, and overall health of two coral, Montipora australiensis and Zoanthus spp., in a controlled nano-reef environment? Our experimental setup would include two nano reef tanks (3 gallons each) and across the duration of 10 weeks, we would decrease Tank B’s pH using diluted white vinegar and Tank A would remain intact. Throughout our experiment, we would monitor temperature, water level, pH levels, and visual signs of coral stress like bleaching, polyp retraction, and tissue loss daily. Each week, we would document physical and visual changes with photography and keep all observations logged in structured spreadsheets.
