Abstract
This study evaluates the impact of the Carbon Bites app, a personalized food carbon footprint calculator, on reducing carbon emissions through providing environmentally conscious dietary choices. By analyzing participants' daily food intake and providing real-time feedback on the associated carbon footprint, the app aims to raise awareness and encourage sustainable eating habits. Participants' carbon footprints will be assessed, and their awareness and interest in understanding the environmental impact of their food choices will be surveyed. The findings will offer insights into the effectiveness of personalized food carbon footprint tools in promoting sustainable behaviors. This research also aims to contribute valuable data for the future development of carbon footprint calculators, highlighting their potential role in mitigating climate change through individual dietary changes. Moreover, CarbonBites aims to raise awareness bout the world around us and sustainable habits individuals can take for our planet earth.
