What is Blackboard (BB)?
Blackboard (BB) is a web-based Learning Management System.
Essentially, it is a website that class participants can access any time from any computer with an Internet connection.
Instructors typically use Blackboard to
- Upload course-related materials, including syllabi, profiles, presentations, audio and video files.
- Communicate with students online between class sessions.
- Provide students with online collaborative tools such as discussion boards, blogs, and wikis.
- Collect assignments online, give tests and surveys electronically, and use the Bb’s automated scoring and anti-plagiarism tools.
