Overview: Use the Blackboard email feature to send email to all class users or to selected users within your Blackboard course. You will also receive a copy of any email you send in your own Inbox.
You and students can email each other by accessing the Send Email function through Tools in the course menu:
Action: To send an email, simply select the appropriate recipient(s) and complete and submit the message. You can choose to send an email to all users on the class list, or to individual groups or users. For example:
1. Click Select Users to choose to send an email to one or two users:
2. Select the message recipient(s) and move the selected name(s) into the Selected category by clicking on the right cursor button:
3. Enter a subject, your message, and any attachments.
4. Click Submit.
Alternate Action: You also have access to your course’s email distribution list (DL) through Outlook. If you are already in Outlook, you may find it faster to email your entire course that way, rather than using Blackboard.
