Our Advisory program at Pacific Crest allows us to strengthen the student-to-student relationship, the student-to-self relationship, and the student-to-school relationship so that we can promote lifelong habits to encourage learning and personal growth and exploration. Advisory classes will ensure that at least one adult in the school is getting to know each student by name and need, making sure their learning needs are being met while encouraging them to make good academic and personal choices and plan for their future.
Our Advisory is a support system to help students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. It will meet four times per week to work on academic and SEL skills, including:
Executive functioning
Level-appropriate math practice
Independent reading
Community building
Additionally, there will be opportunities for small group instruction for interventions and extensions.
