with Mrs. Frantz

This is my favorite quote because it is my teaching philosophy in a nutshell.

My goal is to meet each student where they are and take them to the next level.

I have worked in a variety of classrooms with many different grades, abilities and in many different schools.

I love teaching and I am going to make this year one that hopefully the students will never forget.

I have always wanted to be a teacher. I used to teach my brother Math in my bedroom. I would come home with my second grade workbook, erase the work I did that day, and make my little brother redo it. I tried to teach my dog to read, but I was less successful than I was in teaching my brother.

I am originally from the suburbs of Albany, New York. I have my BA in Special Education and my MASTERS in Reading, both from Goucher College. I met my husband while at school. My husband became a fighter pilot in the Navy, which means I moved around for several years. I taught many different students in a lot of schools, including students as young as four to as old as sixteen.

I look forward to getting to know you.
