Valid Identification: You and every member of your household must have a valid Social Security Card to access the full package of NHI services.
Registration: You must register with an assigned NHI Primary Care Provider (PCP) clinic near your residence.
Affordable Access: Once registered, you can access consultations and essential medications included in the National Formulary.
The NHI scheme is built on social responsibility, where costs are shared to keep the system sustainable.
Standard Co-payment: Members typically pay a small 10% co-payment for essential medications and services.
Exemptions: To ensure the most vulnerable are protected, co-payments are waived for:
Senior citizens (age 60 and above).
Pregnant mothers.
